It was a good weekend for celebrity/parent relations.  Not only did Scarlett Johansson treat her mom to an afternoon in Beverly Hills, but Kirsten Dunst was spotted in Venice hanging out with her mother father.

The “Spider-Man” actress and her parents, Klaus and Ines, were out and about, enjoying the beautiful weather yesterday (August 10) and grabbing some lunch before an afternoon of shopping.

Hollywood suffered a terrible loss by the weekend when actor/comedian Bernie Mac passed away early Saturday AM (August 9). 

Mac died in a Chicago area hospital due to complications from pneumonia at the age of fifty, and according to Mac’s sister in law, Mary-Ann Grossett, Rhonda (Mac’s wife of thirty years) and their daughter Je’Niece were with him all through the duration of his hospital stay.

In celebrity family news, Hayden Panettiere’s father Alan was arrested Monday on allegations of spousal abuse. 

The police were called to the Panietierre’s West Hollywood home at around 3am, as the incident reportedly occurred just hours after Hayden and her parents left a party at Beso (Eva Longoria’s restaurant).
